another lead-off walk by japanese pitcher’s. and now a pitching change, mahara is now in.
 
top of the 7th, no out, runner on first.
 
it’s 2nd & 3rd with dae-ho up to bat.

still 1-0.
 
things were really rocking in the dome last half inning, but nothing doing.
 
looks like iwakuma to start the 6th. he’s thrown 67 pitches so far.
 
iwakuma retires the first batter and is now getting yanked. in comes sugiuchi.

broken bat pop up to nakajima and a quick throw over to first for a double play to end the inning.
 
that should be it for iwakuma. nice job: 2 ip, 2 hits, 1 run.
 
 
japan really needs to break out on offense.

iwakuma just walked the lead-off batter. he’s now sitting at 60 pitches. he’s begining to struggle a bit.

japan had a good chance to put some runs on the board, but failed miserably. nakajima led things off with a single, was balked to second, moved to third on a grounder by aoki, and neither murata nor inaba could plate him.
